Escamilla Wedding

Updated: Apr 15, 2023

I had the pleasure of planning and being the Maid of Honor at Margaret and Melissa’s wedding. Margaret and Melissa envisioned a country chic wedding celebration and that’s precisely what I gave them! Their wedding planning logistics was one for the books, the bridal store where Margaret bought her wedding dress become foreclose before she ever received her wedding dress. We pulled out all the stops and within 48 hours we drove over 400 miles and visited 10 different stores before finding dress number 2. A few hours before the I do’s took place, we had a good down pour of rain over the venue. In the end, the rain clouds parted about 1 hours before guest started arriving and it became a beautiful and sunny outdoor wedding.

Margaret’s color palette was blush, navy blue and an accent color of antique gold. Her centerpieces were very personal, hand crafted and a family effort. Margaret and Melissa hand painted mason jars and picture frames, the bridal team shopped for flowers, and Margaret’s brother chopped down an oak tree from his land to make her custom wood plank centerpieces.

Once guest arrived, they made their way around the venue to the beautiful backyard. Margret and Melissa exchanged their personal vows under this beautiful wood gazebo overlooking the Texas hill country. After the I do’s tons of family pictures took place and guest made their way into the venue for the open bar and sweet treat bar. When it was time to move into the reception festivities, the bridal party came into the venue with each of their own dance numbers to get the guest hipped up for Margret and Melissa’s grand entrance down the stairs and right into their first dance as Mrs. & Mrs. Escamilla. Margret wanted to have a special dance with her bridal party and the bridal party gave her just that. A 7 minutes dance number with songs mix from Billy Currington, Salt N Pepa, Spice Girls, Pussycat Dolls, Gretchen Wilson, T-Pain and the grand finally song Vogue by Madonna where they called Margaret up to be the center of the dance.
